Meteorology calls on citizens to take away from water ways due to heavy rains

SANAA, March 20 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology warned on Monday citizens to take away from valleys or earthen bridges flooded by heavy rains.

In its weather bulletin on Monday, the center expected heavy rains in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.

The center pointed out the possibility of rains of varying intensity on the eastern coasts and parts of the southwestern coasts.

It also warned drivers on the mountain slopes of a decrease in the horizontal visibility due to rain and fog formation.

The center warned sea-goers and fishermen west of the Gulf of Aden and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab of sea turbulence and high waves.
