Rainfall of varying intensity expected on various provinces

SANAA, March 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology predicted cumulus clouds, accompanied by thunderstorms and rainfall of varying intensity in most Yemeni provinces during coming 24 hours.

The center indicated in its weather bulletin on Thursday, that rainy weather would prevail over large parts of the provinces of Saada, Jawf, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Raymah, Dhamar and Ibb, Marib, Bayda and Shabwa.

Active to strong winds are also expected west of the Gulf of Aden, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the south of the Red Sea, disturbing the sea, while the weather will be partly cloudy over the Socotra archipelago, with the possibility of sporadic light rain.

The center stated that the weather in the desert areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy, especially in the deserts of Jawf and Marib, with sporadic rains and activate winds reaching a maximum speed of 20 knots.

It called on citizens, in areas where rain expected, not to be in the valleys and streams of torrents, warning motorists on mountain roads of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to low clouds and fog.
