Sanaa vows to take necessary steps to lift the siege on Yemeni people

SANAA, March 08 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, vowed that Sanaa will take the necessary steps to lift the siege on the Yemeni people if the siege continues.

This came during his meeting today with Minister of Transport Abdul Wahab Al-Durra and the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir.

He stressed that the full opening of Sanaa airport and the port of Hodeida and lifting blockade by land, air and sea is a right of the Yemeni people and not a favor from anyone.

“We will not allow the continuation of the siege and the restriction of flights to and from Sanaa International Airport,” he said.

Regarding the foreign forces’ presence in Yemen, he said the US military presence and any other foreign presence in Yemen is a temporary occupation.

“They will go out of Yemen willingly or unwillingly, and the Yemeni people will not make all these sacrifices to accept to touch one atom of the soil of their land, or one drop of their sea water. Yemen’s coasts and islands will remain the exclusive right of Yemenis,” he explained.

“Let the traitors in the occupied territories know that no matter how much they are to the Americans, they will end up like the Americans in Vietnam and Afghanistan,” he added.
