Protesters in Aden set up first sit-in tents against Saudi “802” forces
ADEN, March 07 (YPA) – A group of protestors put up the first open sit-in tents against Saudi “802” forces stationed at Aden Airport in southern Yemen, on Monday.
Local media verified that dozens of students and administrative personnel from the so-called “Bazraa Aviation Academy” set up the first tent for a sit-in outside Aden Airport in protest of the academy’s training hangar being closed by Saudi forces “802” stationed at the airport.
According to sources, this comes after nearly seven vigils held by students and academy administration without anyone paying heed to their demands.
The closing of the hangar by Saudi forces hampered the practical aspects of the academy’s students, despite the fact that the hangar was built with an official license in compliance with Yemeni rules and regulations, the sources explained.
The academy administration stated in press statements that the Bazraa students’ sit-in committee will continue to sit-in and escalate in the following days if its demands were not met.
