SANAA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sanaa government, Hisham Sharaf, discussed on Monday with Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus, needs regarding kidney failure patients in Yemen.
In the letter, Sharaf warned of the dangers of a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of tens of thousands of patients with kidney failure due to the acute shortage of solutions for dialysis sessions, as a result of the war and the comprehensive blockade imposed by the Saudi-led coalition.
The Minister called on the WHO’s official to interact positively with the requests and efforts of the Ministry of Health aimed at preserving the health and lives of patients, by supporting the health sector.
