“Clearly, the aim of the United States is to divert the attention of OAS members from the pressing problems that have accumulated in the Western Hemisphere,” the embassy said in its statement.

“They stressed that the discussion of the Ukrainian crisis on the OAS platform took place despite calls from members of the international organization to avoid raising “a European security crisis that is not fundamental to the intra-American structure”.
