Dozens of recruits get beaten inside coalition camp in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 20 (YPA) – At least 20 recruits from the tribes of Wadi Hadramout got severely beaten inside a camp run by the Saudi-led coalition forces.

Medical sources said that the recruits from al-Hamoum tribes were beaten with batons and sticks by a commander in the coalition’s al-Najda camp in Wadi Hadramout.

The sources pointed out that this came after the Saudi-affiliated “Hadramout Tribes Alliance” announced in early January the recruitment of 10,000 people from the districts of Wadi, and 3,000 others in the “General Security”, for their replacement in place of the militants of the Islah party-run First Military Region in Hadramout.

Activists circulated on social media, pictures of the recruits and medical reports issued by Al-Shehr General Hospital, confirming that they had been beaten in different places on their bodies.
