Cold weather expected to continue with coming hours

SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected cold weather during the coming 24 hours in a number of Yemeni provinces.

In its expected bulletin on Sunday, the center indicated that light frost may form in parts of Amran and Bayda, east and south of Dhamar, east and north of Sanaa, Dhamar, Amran, Bayda, Saada, Ibb, Dhalea, Jawf and Marib.

The weather will be relatively cold in the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj and Taiz, with the possibility of active winds reaching a maximum speed of 30 knots over the southern Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, and workers, of the cold weather, calling on farmers to take the necessary precautions to protect their agricultural crops.
