Iran declares making progress of negotiations with Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, said his country’s keenness on good neighborliness with the countries of the region, noting making progress of the he negotiations with the Saudi side.

“In the government of Ebrahim Raisi, the issue of good neighborliness is at the top of the priorities of Iranian foreign policy, regarding the countries of the region,” Kani Kani added in an interview with the Iranian “Mehr” agency added.

He continued: “With regard to our southern borders, as we know that in the previous government, the Emirates and Kuwait withdrew their ambassadors from Iran, and today in Raisi’s government, they returned its ambassadors to Iran.”

The Iranian official said that iIn the previous government of Iraq made many efforts to advance negotiations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in the new government of Mr. Al-Sudani also plays this role, and five rounds of continued talks have been held so far.
