Coalition deploys ‘Dera Al-Watan’ forces in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 05 (YPA) – The so-called “Dera Al-Watan” factions, loyal to head of Riyadh-formed Predental Council Rashad Al-Alimi continued their deployment in the city of Aden, the most prominent stronghold of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council ( STC) in southern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal on Sunday, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources,  units of these forces affiliated with Saudi Arabia captured news new positions in the vicinity of Aden airport during the past hours .

Earlier on Saturday, they took over Camp Nasr, which officially  tasked the protection of the airport.

The new deployment in the vicinity of Aden airport comes as part of a strategy to assume the protection of the most important strategic facilities, such as Al-Ma’shiq Palace , the residence of a  government, loyal to Saudi0led coalition and the Presidential Council, all the way to Khormaksar, which includes the most important government facilities.

The continued deployment of the Dera Al-Watan forces in Aden comes amid confusion in the ranks of the STC, as its leadership kept silent about the formation of the new force and the fears of its field factions of expelling them t from the city.
