SANAA, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The Egyptian Church held a mass for Christians in Saudi Arabia commissioned by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and patriarch of See of St. Mark.
According to Al Keraza Magazine, they paid a visit to the Egyptian Copts residing in Saudi Arabia, for a month that ended with the Divine Liturgy on Christmas Eve, according to the Eastern calendar, on the evening of January 6-7, 2023, for the first time in the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The visit included several cities in Riyadh, Jeddah and the eastern region, with the holding of masses, the attendance of large numbers of Copts and Eritreans, and the practices of all prayers and various spiritual meetings, under the full sponsorship of the Saudi authorities, with a visit to the Egyptian embassy in Saudi Arabia and a special dinner at the embassy.
The embassy accompanied the bishop’s visit in all meetings and facilitated all procedures.
