Yemen army foils Saudi-backed militias’ infiltration in Hajjah

HAJJAH, June 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday foiled an infiltration attempt of Saudi-backed militias in Hajjah, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official confirmed that the militias suffered massive losses in their attempt to advance toward Midi desert.

The army also managed to destroy five military vehicles and one tank belonging to the Saudi-led coalition militias in Midi, killing all their crew members, the official added.

The official indicated that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched 18 air strikes to back its militias in their attempt but without making any progress on the ground.
