Sanaa forces thwart coalition’s militants infiltration attempt in Haifan district, Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Sanaa forces on Friday thwarted an attempt by Saudi-led coalition forces to advance towards Haifan district in Taiz province in southern Yemen, from the outskirts of Lahj province.

Local sources in Taiz told the Yemen Press Agency that armed groups from the Fourth Hazm Brigade, led by Brigadier General Wafi Al-Ghabs, carried out an infiltration attempt  from two tracks.

The first track was launched from the “Ayrim” area and the other from their positions in the Tur Al-Baha area, north of Lahj governorate, trying to advance towards the positions of Sanaa forces in the “Al-Dhabab” area of Haifan district, Taiz governorate.

The sources confirmed that Sanaa forces were able to repel the attack and forced the groups of the “Fourth Brigade Hazm” to retreat to  their positions in “Ayrim”.
