Tokyo supplies Ukraine with 262 generators

WORLD, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Japan’s Foreign Ministry announced that Tokyo supplied Ukraine with 262 generators.

“Due to the destruction of infrastructure in Ukraine, which led to widespread power outages, the Government of Japan has decided to send 262 generators to protect the lives of the Ukrainian people, who are going through a difficult cold winter,” the ministry said in a statement Monday.

Japan delivered 25 generators to Ukraine in December last year, and 237 were sent on Jan. 14.

The ministry added that these generators are delivered to companies responsible for supplying electricity, heating and gas in Ukraine to provide energy.
