UAE-funded militias assault doctor in Shabwa hospital

SAHBWA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Armed elements of the UAE-funded al-Amaliqa militia assaulted on Sunday one of doctors in the city of Ataq, the provincial capital of Shabwa, eastern Yemen.

A medical source in the city affirmed that several militia attacked the emergency doctor on duty at the Maternity and Childhood Hospital in the city, called “Assaf”, and used obscene words against him.

The sources confirmed that the attack was not the first against doctors working in the hospitals, but rather was repeated from time to time by the UAE militia.

Al-Amaliqa militia is taking an inpatient and intensive care unit in the hospital and transforming health facilities as military barracks and weapons stores.
