Sanaa Industry seizes 15 tons of expired foodstuffs

SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – An Office of Industry and Trade in the capital Sanaa destroyed on Thursday about 15.5 tons of expired foodstuffs.

Director of the office, Majed Al-Sada, explained that this quantity was destroyed after completing the procedures with the participation of the Industry Prosecution.

He called on merchants to cooperate and take the initiative to hand over expired materials, in order to destroy them in a way that guarantees consumer protection.

Al-Sada stressed the continuation of monitoring and inspection of markets and shops, and taking action against violators.
