SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – A widespread dust wave will hit the desert areas in several Yemeni province during the coming 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology expected on Wednesday.
In its weather forecast, the center indicated that the wave might spread to parts of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib and Jawf, in addition the mountainous heights of Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Ibb, Dhalea and Taiz.
The forecast stated that the cold weather will happen during the night and early morning in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, and relatively cold in the heights of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.
It pointed out that active winds blow at the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching a maximum speed of 25 knots, working on high waves.
The meteorological center warned motorists on the mountainous roads and slopes of low horizontal vision, as well as children, the elderly and those suffering from respiratory diseases, to take the necessary precautions from the dust wave.
