Russian Air Force begins to use KM-52 helicopter, new ammunition in Ukraine

WORLD, Jan. 11 (YPA) – The Russian Air Force has begun using modern KM-52 helicopters equipped with 305 missiles as part of the special military operation in Ukraine.

“Novosti News Agency, quoted a source as saying: this type of helicopter is being used in particular to target Ukrainian armored and military vehicles as well as troop concentrations, noting that the ammunition carried by this helicopter is the new “305” high-precision missiles, which were previously used with helicopters “Mi-28NM”.

“The possibility of using the new ammunition makes the model of this helicopter, along with the Mi-28NM, the most important weapon for hitting the front line, hitting command posts, fuel depots and hangars,” the source said.

The new missile “305”, also known as “Product 305”, was first unveiled at the exhibition “Army-2021”.

Designed to hit fixed and moving targets day and night. The missile has a 25-kilogram high-explosive warhead, providing high accuracy in hitting targets, with a deviation from the aiming line of no more than two meters, with a maximum range of 14.5 kilometers.
