US deploys aircraft for spying in Middle East

SANAA, Jan. 01 (YPA) – Washington has deployed three new E-11A aircraft for spying and communications of the US Air Force to fly in the skies of the Middle East.

The report stated that “the new spy plane landed at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, and it is equipped with the BICN system, as it acts as a satellite low on the ground in the field of communications and allows data transfer between the various aircraft systems and provides signal enhancement for units on the ground,” according to “ Information Agency.

“One of the functions of the American spy plane is to contact remote operations centers or coordinate close air support without establishing satellite communications in difficult terrain, it added. It has been seen flying off the coasts of Syria, Lebanon and other regions.

According to the report, the US Air Force said in the statement that the E-11A U.S. Air Force aircraft is operated by the 430th Expeditionary Electronic Communications Squadron and joins three aircraft of its kind in the unit’s arsenal, which has come under pressure due to ever-increasing demand.

The report indicated that “the Saudi Sultan Air Base, south of Riyadh, with the American presence continues, as a focal point for US-Saudi military cooperation, and it represents the latest updates in the field of espionage and intelligence aircraft in the region.”
