STC militia blows up citizen’s house in center of Ataq city

SHABWA, Jan. 07 (YPA) – Gunmen affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia on Friday blew up a house belonging to a citizen in the center of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province, southern Yemen.

 Eyewitnesses reported that a violent explosion shook the city of Ataq on Friday evening, followed by sounds of clashes in different neighborhoods of the city.

 They noted that the blast targeted the house of a member of the Talbi tribe near the city center of Ataq.

Similar clashes erupted last weekend between Al-Talbi tribe and the Khalifa tribe over the killing of a member of the Khalifa tribe, but the security services did not intervene to stop the clashes.
