SANAA, Jan. 06 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stressed the importance of forming a legal mechanism to stop the Zionists’ violations of the sanctity of Islamic holy places.
Abdollahian condemned what the Zionists are doing of violating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its desecration, calling for coordination and joint action of Islamic countries to preserve the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Iranian news agency, IRNA.
This came during a phone call with Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
The two sides exchanged their views on strengthening bilateral, regional and international relations, including the recent violation of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionists and the insulting action of the French newspaper.
In turn, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, renewed in the phone call the Kuwaiti government’s firm stance towards the Palestinian issue, strongly condemning the Zionist violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Sabah welcomed the proposal and initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the coordinated action of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to stop the Zionist entity’s aggressions that endanger peace and stability in the region.
