Mass resignations from pro-coalition government put its head in dilemma
ADEN, Dec. 27 (YPA) – The circle of mass resignations expanded on Tuesday, which puts head of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition, Moein Abdulmalik, in a dilemma.
The employees of the Land Authority branch in Shabwa province announced their resignations collectively, in protest of the suspension of the authority by director of the Moein’s office.
The authority employees sent a letter to president of the Riyadh-formed “Presidential Council” and the members of the council, demanding an investigation with Anis Baharithah, the most prominent member of Prime Minister Moein Abdulmalik, and accusing him of corruption and causing the land conflicts in Aden.
The Shabwa branch is the third branch of the authority, whose employees resign en masse, as the employees of the Abyan branch had already resigned a day after the closure of the authority center in Aden.
The mass resignations put Moein in an actual dilemma, especially in light of the pressures of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council to dismiss him.
