MARIB, Dec. 25 (YPA) – Balqis satellite channel said that on Sunday, gunmen attacked its correspondents in the province of Marib in northeastern Yemen, Ali al-Jaradi and Khalil al-Tawil.
The channel explained on its website that armed men in civilian uniforms on board two military patrols pointed weapons at the reporters and uttered profanity at them while they were on the public street in the heart of the city.
It added that Al-Jaradi and Al-Tawil tried to calm the situation and find out the causes of the incident, while the gunmen were trying to reach them before bystanders intervened.
The crimes of suppressing media freedoms by various means in Yemen by the coalition countries and the”government” are escalating dangerously in Marib, the aim of which is to intimidate media professionals and muzzle their mouths to conceal the crimes and violations committed by the coalition countries and their tools against the Yemeni people.
