Hundreds of residents protest against starvation policy in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Hundreds of residents of Aden province, southern Yemen, resumed on Saturday their popular uprising against the starvation policy pursued by the Saudi-led coalition.

In an angry demonstration that roamed the streets of the city, the protesters demanded an end to the rise in food prices and the collapse of the economy.

They stressed the need for the return of their popular escalation due to the continuous deterioration of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies.

The participants blocked several the main roads in Mansoura district of the province, denouncing the deteriorating living conditions.

The protesters also set tires on fire and prevented the passage of cars and vehicles in the streets of the district, chanting slogans against the local authorities backed by the coalition.

It is worth noting that the governorates under the control of the coalition are witnessing a state of continuous boiling, in protest against the deteriorating economic situation and the collapse of basic services, including electricity, amid the coalition’s disregard for the suffering of citizens.
