WORLD, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that the Russian army has made significant progress towards “demilitarising” Ukraine.
Asked whether one of the goals of the special military operation had been achieved, Peskov was quoted by the Novosti news agency on Friday as saying that there was significant progress on the road to demilitarizing Ukraine.
He added that the reduction of Ukraine’s military potential can be considered to have been achieved.
Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had said the day before that the Kiev regime’s weapons stockpile had almost run out.
The Russian president has stressed that Ukraine’s weapons and ammunition will soon run out, and therefore Kiev will be completely dependent on Western aid.
Putin also said that the Russian army destroyed much of the Soviet-made equipment of the Ukrainian forces. At the same time, he pointed out that the stocks of Soviet-made weapons held by European countries (countries of the former Warsaw Pact), which are also being transferred to Kiev, are also close to depletion.
