WORLDS, Dec. 21 (YPA) – Elon Musk announced on Tuesday his intention to leave the head of the social network as soon as he has “found someone crazy enough” to replace him, explaining that the billionaire will therefore focus on the “software and servers”.
“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” Elon Musk tweeted.
In his tweet, Musk indicates that he will continue to lead the software and server teams after his retirement as CEO. He is also CEO of car manufacturer Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX and had previously indicated that he wanted to spend less time on Twitter, which he acquired in October.
Musk has sparked controversy since he acquired Twitter in October for $44 billion.
Since his acquisition of Twitter, Musk has fired half of the company’s top staff, reactivated former U.S. President Donald Trump’s account and rescinded the COVID-19 disinformation policy.
