SANAA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – A cold wave will be expected to continue to sweep several Yemeni provinces within the coming 24 hours, the National Meteorological Center said on Saturday.
In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed the wave would hit the large parts of the highlands of the provinces of Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Raymah, Mahweet, and Ibb, in addition Mahra, Hadramout, Marib and Jawf.
The bulletin pointed out the possibility of active to strong winds, with speeds ranging between 12-22 knots, on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, west of the Gulf of Aden, as well east of the Socotra Archipelago.
The center warned citizens of the extremely cold weather, calling for taking the necessary precautions, wearing suitable winter clothes.
