WORLD, Dec. 17 (YPA) – At least six people were killed , including one child , after a fire erupted in a residential building in Minsk, Belarus. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Belarus.
According to the investigation, today at about 3:30 am Moscow time, a fire broke out on the second floor of a residential building on Shevchenko Boulevard. As a result of the incident, six people died, including one child.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated more than 20 people, the committee added.
Earlier at night, eyewitnesses reported a fire on the second floor of a residential building in Minsk. After firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered that the fire had escalated into an open flame.
The cause of the incident is being specified, the press service concluded.
