SOCOTRA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – A massive fire devoured palm plantations in the Yemeni occupied Island of Socotra on Friday, local sources said.
According to the sources, the residents accused the UAE occupation forces of being behind the fire that consumed a number of their farms in the archipelago.
The fire caused great damage to farmers in the village of East of the archipelago.
This comes at a time when activists on social media are accusing the UAE of carrying out looting of rare birds, animals and precious stones from Socotra and transferring them to Abu Dhabi before offering them for sale in Western countries illegally.
