Finland continues to import liquefied natural gas from Russia

WORLD, Dec. 14 (YPA) – Anton Loginov, the Finnish trade representative of the Russian Federation, said that Finland continues to import liquefied natural gas from Russia, delivered from January to September 75 million euros.

“Finland does indeed continue to receive Russian LNG, but not through intermediaries, but directly from PJSC Novatek under a long-term contract in euros. As far as we know, there has been no change in the payment currency since the signing of the agreement,” he said.

He noted that the Finnish side is considering the possibility of refusal to purchase Russian liquefied natural gas, for this purpose an American floating LNG terminal, which is scheduled to be operational in January 2023, has been leased.
