Foreign exchange rates rise against Yemeni riyal in southern provinces

SANAA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal exchange rate on Saturday hit new decline against foreign currencies in the southern provinces controlled by the Saudi-led coalition countries, reaching 1,157 riyals per US dollar in Aden and Hadramout provinces.

Economists emphasized that the unjustified decline of the riyal was not an improvement in the currency exchange rate, as much as it was a new scam to lure many citizens into the trap of exchange rate manipulators.

Meanwhile, the exchange rates of currencies maintained its stability in Sanaa and the areas under the control of the National Salvation Government at 560 riyals per dollar.

Observers of economic affairs in Yemen saw that the financial policy of the Salvation Government in Sanaa had proven successful in maintaining the stability of the local exchange rate of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies, especially the dollar and the Saudi riyal.
