Yemeni authority for Standardization destroys car tires violate specifications, standards

SANAA, Dec. 06 (YPA) – The Yemeni authority for Standardization, Metrology and quality control destroyed on Tuesday a quantity of car tires contrary to specifications and standards.

A communication issued by the authority explained that the destruction of tires as a result of their violation of the approved standard specifications in terms of exceeding the storage validity period, which means their impact on public safety.

The complaint pointed out that these tires were seized at Dhamar Control Center and destroyed in accordance with legal procedures, and based on the authority’s tasks in maintaining consumer health and safety, as the first line of defense for citizens.
