SANAA, Dec. 02 (YPA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that the Aerospace Forces succeeded in testing a new missile for an air defense system.
The ministry said in a statement the operation was successfully carried out at the anti-air missile test range in Sary Shagan, Kazakhstan.
“A combat crew from the air and missile defense forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces succeeded in conducting another test of launching a new missile for a Russian missile defense system,” according to the Russian news agency “Sputnik”.
“The new missile confirmed the specifications after a series of tests in hitting a target with the with the specified accuracy,” said Major General Sergei Grabchuk, head of the Aerospace Forces’ anti-missile defense unit.
