Cold weather expects to target mountainous heights within coming hours

SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) – The cold weather is expected to prevail over the mountainous heights in several provinces of Yemen during the coming 24 hours.

The center said in weather bulletin that a cold wave would hit the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea and Ibb.

The bulletin affirmed that a slight increase in minimum temperatures might reach 0.5-1 degrees Celsius.

The center stated that active to strong winds, with speeds ranging between 15-30 knots, were blowing on the southwest coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the western Gulf of Aden.

It warned the elderly, children, the sick, and workers during the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
