Kanaani: Regional security is important for Iran and Oman

TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said that the Iranian-Omani relations are strong and constructive, so they open the way for cooperation in several regional and international fields.

In his weekly press conference in response to a question about the latest developments in Iranian-Omani relations and the recent visit of the Omani foreign minister to Tehran, Kanaani said that the recent talks between the two countries dealt with regional and international issues.

He added that economic and trade cooperation between the two sides is developing and growing, and therefore strengthening and developing this cooperation requires political consultations between the two countries.

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry explained that regional security is very important for the Sultanate of Oman and Iran, and there is an exchange of views between the two countries, stressing that the conditions of the region necessitate that there be relations and talks between the two capitals.

He stressed that there are serious and sincere efforts in the field of joint relations by the Sultanate of Oman, which is a station of respect for the Islamic Republic.
