Meteorology continues to warn residents of cold wave during coming hours

SANAA, Nov. 17 (YPA) – A cold wave will be expected to continue in a number of the Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

The center indicated in its weather bulletin on Thursday that the wave may target provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea and Ibb.

It affirmed that a possibility of a slight rise in minimum temperatures by 0.5-1 degrees Celsius.

The center stated that active to strong winds, with a speed ranging between 17-27 knots, being blown on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the west of the Gulf of Aden.

The bulletin warned the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
