National campaign to protect livestock in Saada launched

SAADA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – The General Corporation for Slaughterhouses and Meat Markets and the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee in Saada province on Wednesday inaugurated the second phase of the national campaign to protect livestock and prevent the slaughter of females and young livestock.

The campaign comes as a translation of the revolutionary leadership’s directives to preserve livestock due to its importance in enhancing food security. It targets meat shops and restaurants by distributing educational brochures and posters on the importance of preventing the slaughter of females and young livestock and adhering to health requirements to ensure the safety of meat and the health of citizens.

During the inauguration, the Secretary-General of the local council of the province, Muhammad Al-Emad, called on all concerned parties and citizens to cooperate in making the campaign a success.
