ADEN, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) launched a stinging attack on Maeen Abdul-Malik, the prime minister of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition, as part of a campaign to dismiss him.
The STC’s Aden Independent Channel (AIC TV), described Maeen Abdul-Malik as “unknown denial”, “evil liar” and “corrupt”, and held him responsible for the collapse of the currency and the economy.
The Channel said that the Riyadh -formed Presidential Council showed that it was too small and fragile to dismiss Maeen Abdul-Malik.
The STC vowed to “hammer the final nail in the coffin of legitimacy, take a southern decision and impose its will by force.”
The STC is trying to impose its secretary-general, Aden Governor Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, as prime minister in response to leak of documents By Maeen Abdul-Malik, which accusing Lamlas of looting and embezzling 30 billion riyals of local authority revenues.
