SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng.Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Tuesday the new resident representative of the United Nations Children’s fund (UNICEF), Peter James Hawken, on the occasion of submitting the papers of his appointment as a resident representative of UNICEF in the Republic of Yemen.
At the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed his wishes to the UNICEF resident representative for success in his new tasks.
He stressed that Yemen is witnessing the worst man-made humanitarian disaster created by the countries of the aggression coalition, noting that children and women are among the most affected groups in society as a result of the aggression and the blockade imposed on Yemen.
Minister Sharaf pointed out that the new UNICEF resident representative will find all forms of support and cooperation to facilitate his tasks.
