Military talks between Russia, Algeria

SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The chief of staff of Algerian army, Lieutenant General, Said Chengriha, held talks on Thursday with the director of the federal service for military and technical cooperation of Russia, Dmitry Shugaev.

The Algerian Press Agency quoted a statement from the Algerian Ministry of National Defense as saying that the meeting took place at the headquarters of the National People’s Army, attended by Brigade officers and deans from the Ministry of National Defense and the staff of the National People’s army and the Russian ambassador to Algeria.

The meeting allowed the parties to discuss the state of bilateral military cooperation and ways to diversify it to include areas of common interest, the statement added.
