SHABWA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – Security sources in Shabwa revealed on Tuesday new details about the disappearance of a telecommunications tower from the capital Ataq, Yemen News Portal reported.
The sources explained that elements of Al-Amaliqa Brigades, which is affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council, dismantled the tower that was located in the transmitter hill east of Ataq and moved it to an unknown destination.
The disappearance of the tower was the latest wave of ridicule among activists.
The tower is one of the most important towers that provide the city of Ataq and its suburbs with communications and Internet service, where its weight reaches about two tons and its length exceeds 100 meters..
Al-Amaiqa factions justified their acts by receiving Emirati orders to move it out of the province on the pretext that it caused the re-flight of drones and tracked the location of foreign forces in the province.
