After Sanaa’s warning attack, foreign ships cancel Yemeni oil smuggling contract
HADRAMOUT, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Foreign ships on Saturday canceled contracts to smuggle Yemeni oil, in the wake of a warning attack by Sanaa, which targeted the main export ports in eastern Yemen.
Southern media, quoting a statement of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, revealed that a Greek ship called “Marna Konbas” refused to smuggle a new shipment and retreated from near Al-Dhaba oil port of Hadramout.
The statement issued by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals indicated that the pro-coalition government is facing a new dilemma related to oil smuggling.
The Greek ship’s refusal to smuggle a new shipment reflects the extent of the fears from targeting in the wake of the warning attacks.
