Iranian Revolutionary Guards unveils ballistic missile “Radvan”

TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Iran’s Revolutionary Guards unveiled on Thursday the ballistic missile “Radvan” for the first time during the military parade that was held near the shrine of Imam Khomeini on the occasion of the anniversary of the Holy Defense (1980-1988).

Iran’s “Tasnim” news agency quoted the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, in a statement today as saying that the “Radvan” missile is classified a medium-range missile, and it enters the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of eight times the speed of sound.

Regarding the other features of the Radvan missile, Salami said: “This missile is a point-based missile, and it is classified as one of our medium-range missiles.”

Major General Salami added on the sidelines of the military parade “We are at the forefront of technology in the field of drones.”

It is noteworthy that the “Radvan” surface-to-surface missile is a single-stage liquid-fueled missile with a detachable warhead with a range of 1,400 kilometers.
