Sources disclose identity of military forces that arrived in Ataq of Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 05 (YPA) – Informed sources revealed on Monday the identity of the military reinforcements that arrived during the past hours to the city of Ataq, the capital of the oil-rich Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

The sources confirmed that the military forces that arrived in Ataq follow the UAE-backed military commander “Tariq Afash,” coming from the western coast with the aim of redeploying to secure the oil fields of the American Jannah Hunt Oil Company in the 10 sector in Usailan area in Shabwa.

Most of these forces headed to Usailan and areas near “Aqabat Mala’a”, while part of them remained in Ataq city under the pretext of controlling the Hadramout Valley districts, the sources explained.

Other sources considered that the UAE is heading for military mobilization towards the areas under the control of Sanaa forces, which are adjusting to Shabwa provinces, towards Bayda and Marib fronts.

During the past hours of today, Monday, Emirati military reinforcements crossed the road of Zenjbar city in Abyan province towards the city of Ataq in Shabwa, without specifying their destination.
