UAE-backed militia kidnap woman in Bayhan

SHABWA, Sept. 04 (YPA) – A woman was kidnapped on Sunday by gunmen in Bayhan district of Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

Local sources familiar with the matter said members of the UAE-backed militia kidnapped 32-year-old woman in the center of the district.

This came after a member of the militia, killed his father, Abdullah Awad Bahaj, in Al-Rawda area, east of Ataq city, the Shabwa provincial capital, on Saturday.

Shabwa districts are witnessing security chaos after the UAE militia, which was brought from Dhalea and Yafa, took control over the various districts of the province, early this year, including dozens of extremist terrorist groups.
