Tribal gunmen block road of locomotives carrying oil to Marib

SHABWA, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Tribal gunmen from Shabwa province on Sunday blocked the road near the oil fields, preventing locomotives carrying oil from passing towards Marib province.

Local sources reported that a number of locomotives are still being held near Al-Uqla area, in response to a similar operation that the tribes accuse Islah Party’s authority in Marib of orchestrating it against Shabwa.

A few days ago, armed men attacked diesel locomotives of Ataq electricity plant, causing a power outage and forcing the pro-UAE authority to buy another shipment by sea.
