Security official assassinated in Seiyun

HADRAMOUT, Aug. 31 (YPA) –  Unknown Gunmen at midnight assassinated a security official in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to sources, the gunmen shot and killed the finance officer of the Police of the Seiyun district, Akram al-Abed while he was in his car in the area of Madouda on the outskirts of the  city district.

The sources added that the officer was found dead on board his car on the side of the road in Madouda.

The assassination comes at a time when the districts of Hadramout have been witnessing tension against the backdrop of the mobilization of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)‘s forces  to attack and control the areas of the valley.
