Parliament Speaker condoles his Pakistani counterpart on flood victims

SANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – The Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, on Tuesday sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to the Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament, Raja Pervez Ashraf, for the victims of the floods that hit Pakistan.

In the cable, Al-Ra’i expressed his condolences, the Presidency and the Parliament members to Pakistani Parliament, the brotherly Pakistani people, and the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

He pointed out that the damages that occurred in Yemen and Pakistan as a result of torrential rains and floods require concerted regional and international efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change and provide support to the affected countries by the international community.
