Scattered shower expected in several provinces within coming hours

SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected that rain of varying intensity would fall on several Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours.

In its warning bulletin, the center said that scattered rain would cover parts of the mountainous heights of the provinces of Saada, Mahweet, Hajjah, Sanaa, Amran and Dhamar, as well as to Abyan, Shabwa, Jawf, Marib, Hodeida, Taiz, Lahj, and Hadramout.

It mentioned that the winds be very fast in the Socotra archipelago, ranging between 30-40 knots, while they range between 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coastal strip.

The center warned citizens against the flow of torrents and valleys and water ways, as well as mud and rocky slides, in mountainous roads due to rain, low clouds and fog.
