Pro-coalition security official survives assassination in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 24 (YPA) – A security official at the Interior Ministry in the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition on Wednesday survived an assassination attempt in the center of Aden city, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia.

Local sources in Aden confirmed that the Director General of Financial Affairs in the Interior Ministry, Nayef Al-Hamidi, escaped an assassination attempt with an explosive device in Khor Maksar district, without any injuries.

The explosive device exploded while Al-Hamidi was leaving his office in the area, the sources added.
